Kim and Khloé Kardashian spent a recent episode of The Kardashians teasing each other about one of the family’s longest-running rumors and while the sisters laughed it off, Kris Jenner definitely wasn’t amused.
The moment began when Kim surprised Khloé with something extremely personal: their late father Robert Kardashian Sr.’s bible. Robert had gifted the bible to O.J. Simpson in 1994, around the time O.J. was charged with the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Kim had to secretly bid for the item in an auction after her first offer was rejected, which immediately irritated Khloé.
Annoyed, Khloé said the bible should’ve simply been returned to their family. That opened the door for Kim to crack a joke about the decades-old theory that O.J. might actually be Khloé’s biological father. “Well… it’s still up for debate between O.J. and Dad,” Kim teased. Khloé played along, saying that either one could count as her father, which made the sisters burst out laughing.
Kim then joked that Khloé deserved the bible “even more” because it had belonged to both men at some point. Khloé doubled down, shouting, “Both of my dads! Give it to me!”
All the while, Kris sat right at the table, noticeably quiet and glued to her phone. When Kylie later joined the group and asked about the handwriting inside the bible, Khloé joked again: “Oh, that’s my other dad’s O.J.’s.” Kylie awkwardly apologized as Kris continued to stay silent.
Her silence wasn’t surprising. In the past, Kris has become visibly upset when the rumor comes up. On a 2019 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she broke down while talking to Khloé about the accusations that she’d had an affair with O.J. She called the stories “pathetic,” “disgusting,” and “tasteless,” saying she was exhausted by lies that had followed her for decades.
O.J. Simpson himself publicly denied the rumor back in 2019. In a video posted online, he said he had never had any romantic interest in Kris and insisted Khloé was not his daughter. He described Robert Kardashian as “like a brother” and called the speculation “bogus.”
Despite all that history, Kim and Khloé still treat the rumor as comedic material even if Kris clearly does not. New episodes of The Kardashians roll out every Thursday on Hulu.
