Austrian Influencer Stefanie Pieper Found Dead Inside Suitcase Discovered in Slovenian Forest

What started as a fun early Christmas celebration in Austria has turned into a heartbreaking crime that has stunned people across Austria and Slovenia. 31-year-old Austrian beauty influencer Stefanie Pieper went missing after the party and five days later, police found her dead in a forest across the border.

Stefanie was last seen on November 23 after attending a holiday gathering. That night, she messaged her friends saying she felt unsafe, telling them there was “a creep in the stairwell” and mentioning a “dark figure” lingering near her building. When she didn’t respond the next morning, her friends grew worried, and police quickly launched a search.

Things escalated the very next day. Slovenian police discovered a red Volkswagen Golf on fire in a casino parking lot near the border. A man was standing near the burning car, acting strangely. That man was later confirmed to be Peter M., Stefanie’s ex-boyfriend a 31-year-old who worked as a nightclub security guard. He couldn’t explain what happened to the car, and authorities immediately treated him as a suspect. He was detained on the spot, and Austria asked for his extradition.

Back home, investigators began questioning Peter M.’s family. Both his brother and stepfather were arrested on suspicion of helping cover up the crime. Witnesses later came forward saying they had seen Peter near Stefanie’s apartment around the time she vanished one even said he was carrying something that looked like a tightly wrapped bundle.

Over the next 48 hours, pressure mounted. During intense questioning, Peter M. finally confessed, according to investigators. He told police that he and Stefanie had gotten into a heated argument after the party, which turned violent. He admitted to strangling her, placing her body in a suitcase, and driving across the border into Slovenia to hide what he had done.

With this information, police teams in Slovenia searched through the rugged forest areas near Majsperk. On November 28, they found a suitcase hidden among the trees. Inside were Stefanie’s remains devastating news for her family, her followers, and everyone who had been hoping she would be found alive.

Police believe Peter fled to Slovenia to destroy evidence and that burning his car may have been the last step in trying to cover up the crime. His bizarre behavior, the burning vehicle, and his conflicting answers only deepened suspicion and led investigators to the truth.

Both Austrian and Slovenian police are now piecing together Stefanie’s final moments and examining her last phone messages. They’re also investigating whether Peter’s family members played any role in helping him after the killing.

What began as a missing-person report has now turned into one of Austria’s most shocking homicide cases a tragic mix of jealousy, violence, and a desperate attempt to escape justice.
